Do you have the potential to participate in open community sport? Would you like support to get you started? The Sasrapid Transition Project will assist individuals with the potential to transition from disability programs/schools/employment to open community based sport and active recreation programs. Statistics show (ABS, 2009) that the current levels of participation for people living with disability in sport and recreation is significantly lower compared to the percentage of people without a disability in South Australia. The Transition Project was created to increase participation by working through the barriers that have prevented people living with disability from being involved in community activities. This is done through a transition plan which enables direct support to be given to individuals. For more information on the Transition Project please download the brochure:
