Inclusive Sport SA, as a member of Sport Inclusion Australia (SIA), supports the pathway for athletes with intellectual disability to represent at School, National and International level.

Wearing our state colours at a sporting event is an opportunity only a few athletes will achieve. Congratulations on being selected to represent South Australia.

Applying for SIA Eligibility

If you, or the athlete you support, are selected in a SA state team competing in a Sport Inclusion Australia (SIA) recognised competition registration with SIA is required to be able to play in the competition or championships.

Sport Inclusion Australia (SIA) requires all athletes seeking eligibility to provide the following documents for review:

  • A completed SIA National Eligibility Application Form
  • Formal documents with evidence of Intellectual Disability including IQ testing (ie; Psychological Assessment)
  • Any other supporting documents (ie: Enrollment in Disability Unit Education, Supported Work Program)

Who Can Help With This Application?

Inclusive Sport SA are here to support applicants and answer any queries you may have about the SIA application form or eligibility requirements and process.

A team coach, manager or a State Sporting Body staff member may also speak with you about this and be able to provide instructions on what needs to be done.
