Aquatic Therapy Expanding!

Inclusive Sport SA’s Rapidswim program is excited to announce the opening of a new Aquatic Therapy program at the Minda Aquatic Centre in Brighton this October!

Give your child the opportunity to love water and book them a spot in the new Aquatic Therapy program. Each of the 45 minute sessions are 1 on 1 with a qualified Occupational Therapist using a proven Aquatic Therapy model, and take place in a hydrotherapy pool. The sessions will focus on:

  • Proprioception
  • Movement and touch
  • Alertness and attention
  • Motor planning and coordination
  • Sensory integration
  • Communication
  • Social integration
  • Water safety
  • Rest and relaxation

Sessions will be available every Monday per school term between 9am and 3pm. There are limited places available, so register your interest now!

Can Aquatic Therapy be covered by the NDIS?

Yes! Inclusive Sport SA (Rapidswim) is a registered provider. The Aquatic Therapy program will need to be part of your NDIS plan. Here are the steps:

  • First you need to register with the NDIS
  • Then give Rapidswim a call to register your interest in the Aquatic Therapy program
  • Before you speak to a planner, it is vital that you are clear on the goals, objectives and aspirations of the individual
  • To ensure Aquatic Therapy is in your plan, it needs to be strongly related to the goals, objectives and aspirations of the individual
  • The NDIS funds reasonable and necessary supports for the individual

To register your interest for the Aquatic Therapy program with Rapidswim, or for more information to assist you in the planning process, give us a call on 8152 2472, or email services@inclusivesportsa.com.au.
