Database Upgrade and Eligibility Update

We have recently upgraded our database and there have been updates to eligibility requirements for our supported sport programs. This should not affect the majority of current participants however new participants must provide evidence of their eligibility to participate. We aim to give people an opportunity to play sport, who may not otherwise have had the chance. However there are some minimum requirements for a player to meet in order for them to be deemed eligible to participate. For a player to be eligible to play in an Inclusive Sport SA supported sport they must meet two (2) of the following requirements:

  • Have attended a Special Education School (disability unit/supported learning centre)
  • Have attended a Mainstream School with an aide
  • Receive a disability support pension
  • Be registered with a disability service eg Disability SA

Where a person is unable to meet the above requirements, Inclusive Sport SA may meet with them to decide if they are eligible to participate. If you have any questions with any of the above please contact us on 8122 6730.
