23 Oct 2018 Rapidswim Carnival Wrap

This past Sunday, Rapidswim were proud to hold its annual swimming Carnival at the Thebarton Aquatic Centre.

Our participants put their newly developed and highly skilled swimming skills on show, taking on a range of events including 25m and 50 races, as well as a thrilling relay to close out the day. The day of friendly competition was spurred on with cheers and congratulations, and ribbons-a-plenty with all of our fantastic swimmers receiving a ribbon in their events and queuing up for their ‘paparazzi’ moment.

As in previous years we were very fortunate to have our Rapidswim instructors Claire, Sam, Jakob, Melissa, Danita and Colette attend to provide support to our competitors in the water. We were also so grateful to see so many parents, families and carers come along to the event to cheer on our swimmers in their races.

Again this year Rapidswim were privileged to have the financial support of Bendigo Bank, without which we would not be able to hold the carnival. Thank you so much to representatives from the West Beach Branch, Tim and Garth, who came along to cheer on the Swimmers throughout the carnival.
