17 Mar 2020 Rapidswim Carnival – Postponed Until Further Notice
Inclusive Sport SA have received enquiries and concerns regarding the upcoming Rapidswim Carnival as a result of the ongoing and rapidly changing COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) situation.
Taking these concerns into consideration, along with guidance from health authorities we have made the decision to postpone the 2020 Rapidswim Carnival scheduled to run this Sunday 22 March.
The event will not be conducted this weekend and we will endeavour to reschedule the Carnival when it is more suitable to do so.
We share your disappointment that the Carnival is not able to proceed as originally planned – as our team has worked hard to bring this together and it is a popular event for all, as staff enjoy the day as much as the participants.
As an association, health and wellbeing of our participants, families and staff is paramount and this decision to act does not come lightly. Please note, that as per Government advice our regular Learn to Swim and Aquatic Therapy lessons at the currently available pools (Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, Noarlunga Leisure Centre, Thebarton Aquatic Centre, Women’s and Children’s Hospital and ARC Campbelltown Swim Centre) are still scheduled to go ahead.
Inclusive Sport SA continues to monitor the situation at hand and be guided by the Australian Government Department of Health regarding infection control protocols as released. We will continue to respond swiftly to keep you updated.
Stay safe and look out for each other.
Inclusive Sport SA.
